Pittsburg Meeting 5/7/11:
Following the Hands Across the Border rally in Beecher Falls, Vt., there was opposition information meeting in Pittsburg to talk about legislative updates as well as a presentation by the Society for the Protection of NH Forests and other issues that are being learned about. Over 55 people attended.

Larry Rappaport
State Rep. Larry Rappaport (R-Colebrook) is a member of the House Committee on Science, Technology and Energy and is the author of HB 648 that would ban eminent domain by public utilities for this type of project.

Jack Savage
Jack Savage of the Society for the Protection of NH Forests gave a presentation about the Northern Pass and why the Forest Society opposes it.

Dave Dobbins
Dave Dobbins is a resident of Gilford and gave a PowerPoint presentation that this project is simply a business proposal with no regards for the people who are affected by it.

Rick Samson
Rick Samson is a resident of Stewartstown and spoek about information and legislation dating back to 2007 that puts all of Coos County at risk for foreign development of energy.

Jim Dannis
Jim Dannis is a resident of Dalton and he has commissioned a few studies into the claims made by Northern Pass and explained what people can do moving forward. John Amey of Pittsburg moderated the meeting and gave the introduction to Jim.
